Vocational Teachers on Adult Education

Abstract

The optional course of the vocational teacher training launched at the University of Dunaújváros in 2021 is the basics of andragogy. Since our students only attend correspondence courses, everyone has some level of experience in adult education, many of them (also) work as trainers. In the second half of the 2023/24 academic year, students enrolled in the course (N=91) were asked for information about their own adult education experiences, their opinions about adult education, their preferences regarding the personality of the adult educator and the methods of adult education, their own positive and negative experiences, and last but not least, whether they would like to stay in contact as vocational trainers or contact adult education as trainers,  adult education. In our presentation we would like to present the most typical and interesting student reflections.
