The Teaching and Learning Centre at the University of Zululand (UNIZULU) invites you to participate in its 4th Teaching and Learning Conference.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
Important dates
- Submission of abstracts opens on 15 June 2019
- Deadline for submission of abstract on 15 July 2019
- Notice of acceptance on 30 July 2019
- Registration opens on 30 July 2019
- Registration ends on 30 August 2019
Submissions should include
- Title of the abstract - bold
- Name(s) of presenter(s), institution and email address – Italics and centre
- Abstract of not more than 300 words, covering: purpose of the paper, methodology, results, conclusions, recommendations/implications
- Three to five keywords - bold
- Full abstract in Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 spacing on A4 portrait
- Abstracts or posters must indicate the subtheme. The subtheme for each abstract must be written below the name(s) of presenter(s) and be aligned left, bold.
- All submissions must be addressed to the Teaching and Learning Centre at tlc@unizulu.ac.za

Full Research Papers
- Final submissions should be in Arial, font size 12, 1.5 spacing on A4 portrait.
- FRP papers to include separate title page with names of authors and a separate manuscript
Kindly note:
- All presentations should not exceed 20 minutes
- At least one of the authors of qualifying papers must be present at the conference.
- Qualifying papers in FRP format will be published in double blind peer- refereed and the subsidy-attracting South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Conference Proceedings
- Length: Final Full Research Papers: - 3000 – 5000 words
- Research in Progress Papers: -2000 - 3000 words
- Final Poster Papers: - Maximum 2000 words
